Astan Quds Razavi to Honor Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs Who Took Part in the Funeral Procession of the “Martyred Leader of the Ummah”

The Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi announced that 295 Iraqi tribal chiefs and sheikhs who took part in the funeral procession of the “Martyred Leader of the Ummah” would be welcomed to the holy Razavi Shrine by Astan Quds Razavi in recognition and appreciation of their participation.

According to Atabe News, Mostafa Feyzi made the remarks at noon on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, while welcoming the Iraqi tribal chiefs and sheikhs at Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport. Referring to the purpose of their visit, he said that, in accordance with the noble Quranic verse, “Is the reward for goodness anything but goodness?” Astan Quds Razavi had the honor of hosting these distinguished guests, who had come on the invitation of the Supreme Leader and were, in essence, guests of His Eminence.

Emphasizing that the great Iranian nation has always been appreciative and grateful, Feyzi added that the people of Iran are the true hosts of these guests. In this regard, a number of valiant tribal chiefs from Khuzestan, who share a common language and have a deep understanding of tribal culture, are accompanying the Iraqi guests as representatives of the Iranian people.

The Deputy Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi described such events and interactions as an effective step toward further strengthening the deep cultural, religious, and historical ties between the peoples of Iran and Iraq.

A ceremony honoring the Iraqi and Khuzestani tribal sheikhs is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, at 7 p.m., with approximately 400 Iranian and Iraqi guests in attendance. Ayatollah Ahmad Marvi, Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, will deliver an address at the event. The guests’ participation in Friday prayers at the holy Razavi Shrine on October 30 will conclude the program of this spiritual visit.
