Spiritual Itikaf ceremony underway at Imam Reza Shrine
Coinciding with the Ayyam al-Baidh of the month of Rajab, the spiritual Itikaf ceremony is being held at the Goharshad Mosque of Imam Reza Shrine. The event started on January 14 and will continue for three days with some 1,500 male and female worshippers in attendance. Ayyam al-Baidh, translated as ‘The White Days’ refers to the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of each lunar Islamic month, specifically in the months of Rajab, Sha'ban, and Ramadan. These days are considered especially significant for fasting and worship in Islamic traditions.

The ceremony started from Shohada Square in Mashhad and proceeded towards Imam Reza shrine, attracting numerous devotees who paid tribute to the Ahlul Bayt.
