On the sideline of his visit to the Central Library’s Manuscripts Center, Ayatollah Shabzendedar said: “Although other libraries such as those in Qom and Tehran have great hand written works, books and sources in Imam Reza holy shrine’s library seem to be more comprehensive”.
He said: “Imam Reza shrine’ library has been attended by lots of salient scholars and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) during the time, so it is expected to have such a performance”.
Shabzendedar stressed: “There is no doubt that Imam Reza shrine’s Manuscripts Center is one of the most valuable treasures for maintaining Shia heritage and approving this line up to the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Shia Islam is not something confined to some specific eras; therefore, we have to have maintenance of these heritage as they are helpful for the country and the Islamic world”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Shabzendedar referred to the section in which Qurans attributed to the infallible Imams (AS) are kept and said: “This part is one of the most important ones in this library the works of which have endorsements of great scholars such as Sheikh Bahaei”.
Member of the Gaurdian Council said: “We witnessed many exquisite works here among which a Quran attributed to Imam Ali (AS) was an admirable one. Also, a holy Quran from India is another great work each page of which has its own beauties in terms of style of writing and the type employed arts”.
