Imam Reza Daroshafa Medical Clinic, 50 yrs of service

Imam Reza Daroshafa Medical Clinic, next to Imam Reza shrine (northeastern Iran), has been providing health services for over 50 years.

According to the head of Imam Reza health center, Dr Mahdi Soltanifar, Daroshafa Medical Clinic provides a variety of quality medical services, and over 500 nurses work in the center either voluntarily or full-time.

Different medical sections in the clinic include dental, laboratory, radiology, EMS, etc., in which general practitioners see patients 27/7, and specialists work on day and night shifts.

“During special periods such as the last ten days of the month of Safar, the center visits some 16,000 patients daily”, said Soltanifar.

“Presently, 10 permanent medical aids stations and one well-equipped center are ready to provide instant services to patients in the shrine”, added he, noting that these numbers would increase to 25 stations during special occasions. “Therefore, Daroshafa Medical Clinic adapts the number of aid workers, equipment and stations to the time of year”.

He continued that the medical teams in the shrine were ready to provide instant and emergency services, and would carry the patients to more equipped centers if need be.
