Inauguration ceremony of Imam Reza shrine new deputy custodian gets underway

The new deputy custodian of Imam Reza shrine has been inaugurated in a ceremony held in the shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad.

A send-off ceremony for Malek Rahmati, the former deputy custodian of the shrine, has been held in Velayat Hall of the shrine, along with the inauguration of his successor, Mostafa Feizi, with the Custodian, Hoj Marvi, the Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province and some other top officials from the shrine in attendance.

Stressing that implementation of macro and strategic policies of the shrine should be high on the new deputy’s agenda, Hoj Marvi said: “Precise supervision on the performance of Imam Reza shrine’s offices and foundations is one of my requests of you”.

The custodian referred to constructive and close cooperation with provincial and national officials within the purview of Imam Reza shrine as duties of the new deputy custodian.

He further pointed to the high significance of social media and virtual space, and urged the new deputy to establish interaction with pilgrims, servants and experts to seek their opinions.

Hoj Marvi also stressed that all the staff and servants in the shrine need to work for God’s happiness.
