Imam Reza shrine provides vast social services

The CEO of Keramat Razavi Foundation has talked about social services in the shrine, saying that the new administrative team established good interactions with Iran’s Welfare Organization and Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, which benefits a large number of deprived people.

Speaking in a TV program, Mohammad Hossein Ostad Agha said: “Public trust is the real wealth of Imam Reza shrine, and whenever it embarks on a project, benefactors will pitch in”.

Pointing to the structural change in the organization, he added: “The shrine has undergone structural changes and four organizations have been created in it ever since 2020”.

“Several construction measures have been taken ever since the Islamic Revolution Victory in 1979; for example, the 100-sqm area of the shrine has now increased to some one million sqm”, Ostad Agha noted

The Scientific and Cultural Organization comprises Razavi University of Islamic Sciences and Imam Reza International University, Islamic Research Foundation, Behnashr Printing House, Libraries, Museums, etc., each of which provides a wide range of services to pilgrims.

The third organization created in the shrine is Endowment Beneficiary Foundation that is in charge of properties, endowments and financial sectors of the shrine.

Head of Keramat Razavi Foundation clarified that the foundation is the social section of the shrine and is active in the elimination of poverty, social services and cultural programs.

Pointing to the interaction between the foundation and social services centers such as Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation and Welfare Organization, Ostad Agha stated: “We do our utmost to help the organizations that are responsible for helping the deprived people”.
