Two new entrances added to Imam Reza shrine

In a bid to facilitate pilgrims’ access to Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, two new entrances – Bab al-Hassan and Bab al-Rezvan – have been constructed and put in use.

According to Reza Khorakian, the Chief Director of the shrine, “Bab al-Rezvan and Bab al-Hassan, which will open into Rezvan Garden and Imam Hassan Courtyard respectively, have been added to the entrances of the shrine in recent months”.
“Bab al-Hassan will facilitate pilgrims’ access to the shrine, Razavi University of Islamic Sciences and Scientific and Cultural Organization of the shrine”, he added.
Stressing the significance of expanding the shrine’s infrastructure for better services to pilgrims, Khorakian noted: “Imam Reza shrine has envisaged numerous plans to reach this goal including the construction of subsurface porticos, expansion of courtyards and building new porticos”.
