Religious speeches, eulogies, and Iraqi-style lamentations were among the programs prepared for this event participated by pilgrims from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain.
Ms. Raja from Bahrain and Ms. Reem Khamsa from Saudi Arabia were speakers and reciters for the ceremony. The two emphasized the role of Imam Sadiq (AS) in spreading the school of Shi'ism and Islamic sciences as well as his impact on deepening religious knowledge.
Additionally, in another part of the program, mourners engaged in coordinated chest-beating while reciting poems in Arabic in mourning for the sixth Imam of the Shia Imams (AS).
One main theme of this ceremony was reflection on the importance of having pilgrimage and spiritual connection of pilgrims with life of Imam Sadiq (AS).
Participants noted that being present at Imam Reza shrine made this gathering a symbol of unity of the Islamic world and respect for shared cultural values of Shia Islam.
It is noteworthy that this ceremony was held with the aim of keeping memory and teachings of Imam Sadiq (AS) alive and strengthening solidarity among Arabic-speaking women within the framework of Shia religious practices.
