The traditional ritual of Shām-e Gharībān (The evening of strangers), which refers to mourning ceremonies on the evening of the 10th day of Muharram (Ashura), was held in Enghelab Courtyard of Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on July 16, with Hoj Marvi, the shrine’s Custodian, giving a speech.
