Thousands of Pakistani pilgrims, who are crossing Iranian borders to reach Karbala in Iraq, are warmly welcomed in Iran by servants of Imam Reza shrine.
According to the director of Razavi Volunteers and Public Services Center in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province: “We are providing round-the-clock services to Pakistani Arbaeen pilgrims on Mir Javeh and Rimdan border crossings this year, similar to previous years”.
“Keramat Razavi Foundation has prioritize the facilitation of the march for the foreign pilgrims in Sistan and Baluchestan Province besides providing services to the underprivileged residents of the province”, added Dadkhoda Khodayar.
He continued that Razavi Volunteers and Public Services Center in the province covers three aspects of accommodation, food and transportation for the Pakistani pilgrims. “Also, a ۵۰۰۰-sqm guesthouse affiliated with Imam Reza shrine host the Pakistani pilgrims on Mir Javeh border crossing”, said Khodayar.
Saying that Imam Reza shrine also take care of the transportation for Pakistani pilgrims to their destination in Iraq, Khodayar noted, “The construction of another guesthouse in Rimdan crossing have been underway for the past three years”.
He concluded his remarks by adding that the services for Pakistani pilgrims would be available until the end of Safar (۲nd month on the lunar calendar) in the province.
Arbaeen, is a Shia religious observance that occurs forty days after the Day of Ashura. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who was martyred on the ۱۰th day of the month of Muharram.
