The Indonesian pilgrims have gathered at the Ghadir Portico in the shrine to attend a ceremony marking the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s demise and Imam Hassan’s martyrdom.
Expanding on the ground-breaking impact Prophet Muhammad had on pre-Islamic Arabia during the Age of Jahiliyyah, the Deputy for International Pilgrims Affairs said: “The holy Prophet (pbuh) referred to Hazarat Fatima and Imam Reza as al-Badʿa, which in English means ‘part of him’”.
According to Hoj Seyyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, Prophet Muhammad described Hazrat Fatima as ‘part of him’, meaning “anyone bothering her has bothered me, and anyone delighting her has delighted me”.
Hoj Zolfaghari continued: “The holy Prophet also said that ‘another part of me will be buried in Khorasan, pilgrimage of whom will free the pilgrim from troubles and sins’”.
“The Prophet based a new and transcendent school of thought and faith in the Jahiliyyah community, which transformed some uncivilized and unethical people into believing, religious and divine individuals”, added he.
Hoj Zolfaghari stated that the holy Prophet strived to instill Islam in a society that would even kill their own offspring alive.
“Promoting ethics was the very issue that underlay the Prophet’s mission (Biʿtha); in fact, he could attract people with his gracious behavior and could miraculously publicize Islam in a short time”, noted deputy for International Pilgrims Affairs.
Hoj Zolfaghari concluded his remarks in the ceremony by stressing, “Following the Prophet’s lead, we can also attract more people to Islam with a gracious behavior”.
