Imam Reza Intl. Media Festival sees large experts’ turnout; thousands of works make it to final

Communications and Media Center of Imam Reza shrine announced the Third Imam Reza International Media Festival witnessed a large turnout by media figures, saying that some 3,751 works could make it to the final.

Speaking in the closing ceremony of the festival in the shrine, Mohsen Houshmand pointed to the goals of the event and called qualitative and quantitative growth of media works about Imam Reza, identifying and connecting with international producers and distributors with respect to Imam Reza’s life and conduct among the goals of the festival.

Houshmand cited Imam Reza shrine services, identity of Mashhad (northeast of Iran), Imam Reza’s life and conduct, pilgrims and pilgrimage, Jihad of Elucidation, endowments and donations as the main subjects of the festival.

“The third round of this festival has been held in various sections such as News and Analysis Media, Virtual Media, Audio and Visual Media, Photo and Graphics, etc.”, said the head of Communications and Media Center.

Houshmand added that some 1,837 candidates participated in the event, most of whom were from Khorasan Razavi, Tehran, and Isfahan provinces.

“Some 3,751 submitted works have made it to the final”, noted he.
