Imam Reza shrine central in pharmaceutical industry; Samen Pharmaceutical Co. produces 95 items

Samen Pharmaceutical Company, along with other companies, has played a pivotal role in Iran’s pharmaceutical self-sufficiency ever since 1979 Islamic Revolution

As a heavyweight in the domestic field, Samen Pharmaceutical Company was established in 1984 and launched in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad in 1992.

Supported by Imam Reza shrine, the company has been actively involved in Iran’s pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years thanks to its highly experienced staff.

It was first tasked with supplying general needs of the hospitals during crises such as war and natural disasters. However, it gradually developed its scope in the number of products and currently produces some 95 items, 47 of which are produced for the first time domestically.

Its products mainly include mineral supplements and electrolytes, dialysis solutions, thinners, etc.

Based on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) data, Samen Pharmaceutical Company came out second among Iranian Parenteral and Pharmaceutical companies in 2022.

The company currently cooperates with 12 supply chains inside the country. However, it has set its sights on acquiring necessary standards by exporting its products first to the regional countries, and then to Europe.
