Imam Reza shrine unveils manuscripts, books on Palestine, Judaism

Imam Reza holy shrine’s Scientific and Cultural Foundation has unveiled a number of books and ancient manuscripts on Palestine at the Central Library of the complex.

Briefing participants of the ceremony, Mohammad Vafadar Moradi, a manuscript researcher of the center, referred to the refutation books written on rejection of some beliefs of Jewish scholars and said: “Imam Reza was the first person who wrote a book in rejection of Jewish. The debate of Imam Reza (AS) with a prominent Jewish scholar led to a conversion to Islam by the Jewish side”.  

Elsewhere in his remarks, Vafadar Moradi referred to some other important rebuttal writers and said: “Al-Ihtijaj of Sheikh Tabarsi is the most important work of refutation writing on Judaism’s beliefs”.

Also in the same ceremony, Tahereh Azimzadeh, Azad University professor, pointed to the history of refutation writing and stressed: “We had books that were written in refutation of some works of scholars since ancient times, these refutations were written by Muslim scholars, politicians, and converted people”.

She reiterated: “We have books written by Jews who converted to Islam since 570th century. Among these books, we can mention that of Samuel Ibn Yahya from Morocco in which he discussed the distorted and incorrect contents in the Torah”.

As one of the biggest libraries of Iran and the Islamic world, Imam Reza holy shrine’s Central Library maintains different hand written books and manuscripts about Palestine, Lebanon, and rejection of some beliefs of Judaism in Arabic and Persian languages. Roll Torah, answer to problems of Jewish scholars, and Jewish history are only some these books.

Ali Gholi Jadid al-Islam, Jallal al-Din Tehrani, Haj Baba Ibn Mohammad Ismaeil Ghazvini, and Abbas Ali Saebi are some of the most salient authors whose books are available in Imam Reza shrine’s Central Library.
