Imam Reza holy shrine’s chief custodian, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, and Aalulbayt Global Information Center have jointly offered a copy of Razavi Mashhad Mus’haf to salient Shia authority of imitation, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani.

The exquisite work was offered by its creator, Morteza Karimi Kia, in a meeting he had with Ayatollah Sistani in Najaf where the work was admired by Shia authority of imitation.

While receiving Karimi Kia’s explanations on the details of the work, Ayatollah Sistani said: “This work which has been done to introduce oldest copies of the holy Quran is really important for researchers of the field. 70 years ago, when there was no technology, I had visited these old sheets that some of which were attributed to infallible Imams (AS) in Central Library of Imam Reza shrine”.

Ayatollah Sistani added: “I am very happy to see these old documents available for the use of Muslim researchers around the world, thanks to your endeavors and supports of Aalulbayt Global Information Center. I hope to see more works of this kid by you in future”.

It is worth mentioning that Razavi Mashhad Mus’haf has been compiled in 252 pages and it is considered the most complete Quranic manuscript left from the first century of Hijri among ancient Hijazi Mus’hafs. This work was published following seven years of content research and technical preparation through a collaboration between Aululbayt Global Information Center and library of Imam Reza holy shrine.
