Imam Reza shrine custodian, Aalulbayt Center present Razavi Mashhad Mus’haf to Ayatollah Mortazavi

Imam Reza holy shrine’s chief custodian, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, and Aalulbayt Global Information Center have jointly offered a copy of Razavi Mashhad Mus’haf to salient Shia authority of imitation and a distinguished figure of Khorasan seminary school, Ayatollah Seyyed Hasan Mortazavi.

The exquisite work was offered by Abdolhamid Talebi, head of Scientific and Cultural Foundation of the holy shrine, and Hoj. Seyyed Jallal Hosseini, head of holy shrine’s Organization of Libraries in a meeting with Ayatollah Mortazavi in Mashhad where the work was admired by Shia authority of imitation.

While receiving Talebi’s explanations on the details of the work, Ayatollah Mortazavi referred to a tradition and said: “God has said that he will respect all those who respect Quran and rendered services to it”.

Ayatollah Mortazavi added: “The respect which has been referred by the tradition is to follow Quran by act”.

Appreciating all people involved in creating this work, the distinguished seminary school professor said: “The same tradition says that God insults those who insult Quran as they gave cold shoulders to Quran”.

It is worth mentioning that Razavi Mashhad Mus’haf has been compiled in 252 pages and it is considered the most complete Quranic manuscript left from the first century of Hijri among ancient Hijazi Mus’hafs. This work was published following seven years of content research and technical preparation through a collaboration between Aululbayt Global Information Center and library of Imam Reza holy shrine. This work was recently been unveiled in Imam Reza holy shrine.
