According to Dr Morteza Rojou’ee, who was speaking in the opening ceremony in Imam Reza International University, northeast of Iran, some 40 sessions and preliminary sessions have been held so far.
“One of the most important achievements of this event is building networks and identifying outstanding researchers about Imam Reza’s life and conduct”, added he.
Stressing that the main objective of the congress has been creating a discourse, mainstreaming, and elucidating Imam Reza’s teachings with respect to modern sciences, Rojou’ee said: “So far, numerous gatherings and events have been underway in the country, but the bond between Imam Reza’s teachings and modern sciences has been overlooked; therefore, Imam Reza International University has taken the initiative to mainstream the Imam’s teachings in various fields such as economic, social, arts, etc.”.
Elsewhere in the ceremony, the Palestinian researchers with Al-Mustafa International University (MIU), Mohammad Ahmad Harb, condemned the ongoing Israeli genocide of the oppressed people of Gaza.
“Most of the casualties are women and children, and between 300 to 500 defenseless people are martyred daily”, added he.
He appreciated the solidarity of the Iranian people and government with Palestinians, stating, “I request that the Iranians, especially residents of northeastern city of Mashhad, take out to the streets each Friday after the prayers to express their solidarity with Gaza, and urge the international community to put an end to the genocide”.
