Talking about details of the collection, Shokouh al-Sadat Samiei, expert of the holy shrine’s Document Center, said: “This collection is composed of 800 document sheets, 17 pieces of pictures, and a few old journals which have been dedicated to the shrine by Motamedi Mousavi family”.
Samiei said: “Part of this collection is about identity documents of the Motamedi family, and the other part is related to the financial documents of one of the active money changers of Mashhad”.
She also stated: “The dedicated collection involves some exquisite and valuable documents two of which contain decrees and signatures of Mozaffar al-Din Shah and Ahmad Shah Ghajar”.
Expert of the holy shrine Document Center added: “Decree of Qajar kings, marriage deed, dowry list, reconciliation letter, commitment letter, lease, summons, partnership letter, administrative letter, cancellation letter, remittance receipt, bill, birth certificate, contract, burial permit, and advertisement are some of these papers”.
Elsewhere in her remarks, Samiei mentioned: “Getting to know about family researches in Mashhad, identifying salient figures of the city and their financial relations, and making comparisons between different administrative documents of Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties are among most noticeable information any researcher can obtain when visiting this collection”.
