Black flags hoisted in Imam Reza shrine to commemorate martyrs of Kerman terrorist attacks

Following the martyrdom of scores of Iranians in terrorist attacks in southeastern Iranian city of Kerman, black flags have been raised in Imam Reza shrine.

The attacks took place after two explosions ripped through a route leading to the burial site of Iran’s anti-terror icon, Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, as people had gathered to mark the fourth anniversary of his assassination by the United States in 2020.

In the wake of the attacks, national mourning day has been announced in Iran, and Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad has raised black flags.
