Shrine promotes capacity for Itikaf ceremony

Imam Reza holy shrine has promoted its capacity for this year’s spiritual ceremony of Itikaf to 1500 participants, says Amin Behnam, deputy for sacred premises of Imam Reza holy shrine.

Behnam said: “This new situation allows us to host more participants from all over the country and from other countries”.

He further stressed: “This year’s participants are categorized into three groups. Teenagers are those who are under 20 years of age. Young people who are between 20 and 40, and finally middle-aged people who are over 40 years old”.

Deputy for sacred remises of Imam Reza holy shrine referred to great participation of young people in this round of Itikaf ceremony of Imam Reza shrine and said: “85 percent of participants in this ceremony are young people which is really promising”.

Behnam stated: “Imam Reza holy shrine’s various prayer halls are hosting places in which Itikaf participants attend and do their worships”.

He reminded: “In addition to Iranian participants, this year’s ceremony has foreign participants from 18 countries including Canada, the US, Germany, Nigeria, Australia, Kuwait, Syria, Bangladesh, South Africa, and Lebenon. Around 30 scholars and clergymen will lead wisdom circles for the participants in this ceremony this year”.
