Razavi and Imam Reza universities sign MoU with Pakistani universities

Head of Pakistani Higher Education Commission, along with deans of Pakistani universities, has paid a visit to Imam Reza shrine in northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, sat for talks with heads of scientific and research sections of the shrine, and signed two MoUs with Razavi University of Islamic Sciences (RUIS) and Imam Reza International University (IRIU).

In the meeting, which took place in Sheilk Bahayee Hall of Islamic Research Foundation in the shrine, two MoUs have been signed with regards to education, research projects, cultural and promotional areas, and international affairs.

Speaking in the meeting, Dr Mokhtar Ahmad, Head of Pakistani Higher Education Commission, stated: “Mutual relations between Iranian and Pakistani state and private universities can pave the way for closer ties between the two nations. Given the speeches by lecturers from RUIS, IRIU and Islamic Research Foundation, I figured that scientific sections in the shrine have high standards in education”.

He added that there are lots of religious and cultural commonalities between the two countries, which make for more connections.

It has also been agreed that the two sides regularly hold similar meetings each year – alternatively in Iran and Pakistan.
