Imam Reza shrine hosts 8th passing away anniv. of late fmr. shrine custodian

The 8th passing away anniversary of Ayat Abbas Vaez Tabasi, the former custodian of Imam Reza shrine, has been held in the shrine on 9 February with the shrine custodian, a group of religious scholars from the seminary, provincial executive officials, etc. in attendance.

In the remembrance ceremony held in Qods Hall of Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, Hoj Ahmad Marvi, the shrine custodian, referred to late Ayat Vaez Tabasi a true servant of Imam Reza and a valuable fortune of the Islamic Republic, saying: “This ceremony is aimed at introducing and getting familiarized with one of the managerial fortunes of the Islamic Republic. It is an imperative that we do not let passage of time tarnish the image of true servants of the country”.

Also in the event, the Leader’s representative in Khorasan Razavi Province, Ayat Alam ul-Hoda stated: “The late Ayat Vaez Tabasi was a paragon of candidness as he was honest with the late Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution during his lifetime”.

In a video message to the commemoration ceremony, grand Ayat Javadi Amoli praised the late Ayat Tabasi’s sincere service to the Islamic Republic with his tactful and appropriate managerial skills for half a century.

Elsewhere in the ceremony, grand Ayat Ja’far Sobhani, also lauded valuable and great services by the late former custodian of Imam Reza shrine such as restoration of the shrine, establishment of Razavi University of Islamic Sciences and Imam Reza International University, and launch of Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza shrine in an attempt to better disseminate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad’s Infallible Household.
