Palestinian officials, managers visit Imam Reza shrine

Under the auspices of Deputy Office for International Pilgrims Affairs, a Palestinian convoy comprised of some 35 officials and managers has paid a visit to Imam Reza shrine to extend condolences for the martyrdom of Iran’s late President Ebrahim Raeisi.

The Palestinian group visited the shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad and sat for talks with Hoj Seyyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, Deputy for International Pilgrims Affairs, on June 5.

In the meeting, Hoj Zolfaghari reiterated Iran’s stance in supporting the Palestinian nation and pointed to a recent letter he had written to some Arab countries including Bahrain, in which he called on all countries to stand up in support of Palestine.

“Supporting Palestine must not be a mere slogan; rather, it needs to be done in action”, said the deputy.

One of the Palestinian officials thanked the unending support by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for Palestinian people.

Another guest from Palestine lamented the false brotherhood by many countries towards Palestinians, saying: “They don’t fulfill their words; we demand real action and support from all countries”.

Another Palestinian official speaking in the meeting commemorated the late Founder of Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, for his efforts to support Palestine.

He also cherished martyr Lt. Gen. Soleimani for his endless fight against Israel and Daesh, extending condolences for the martyrdom of late President Ebrahim Raeisi in a chopper crash on May 19.
