of the Leader, Hoj Marvi, Imam Reza shrine’s Custodian, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Brg. Gen. Qa’ani, Commander in Chief of the IRGC, and several other governmental and military officials attended the event held in the shrine on June 29.

“Martyrs Defending the Shrine repelled the threats from the country and the region”, said the Leader in his message.

Elsewhere in his message, the Leader stated: “The insecurity caused by Daesh and other likeminded groups in Syria and Iraq would’ve engulfed the whole region, including Iran, if they had persisted. Doubtlessly, terrorist attacks like those in Shah Cheragh (2022) and Kerman (2024) would’ve been a daily occurring. Martyrs and warriors defending the shrine have eliminated these threats”.

Speaking in the congress, Hoj Marvi hailed the Resistance Front as a continuation of the fight against oppression by Ahl al-Bait.

“A look at the life and conduct of Ahl al-Bait reveals that fighting and standing up against oppression have been the most evident features of our Imams”, said the shrine’s custodian.

He pointed to Imam Reza’s opposition to the tyrannical Abbasid rule, saying: “Imam Reza did not spare any opportunities to reveal the true colors of the oppressors and usurpers since he embarked on his historic trip from Medina to Merv”.

The Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah also sent a message to the congress, pointing to the common goal, path, Jihad and selflessness as the most valuable assets of the families of the martyrs from different countries that make up the resistance front.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah invoked a Qurnic verse, stating: “Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision.” 

He further referred to the achievements made by the martyrs defending the shrine such as victories, liberation of land, freedom, honor, sovereignty, endurance and deterrence against enemy, defending the people and holy shrines.

“The strong belief and spirituality of the martyrs’ families have always been a powerful motivation for many people to stand up against oppression”, added Hezbollah secretary general.

Elsewhere in the congress, Major Gen. Hossein Salami, Commander in Chief of the IRGC, said: “The history of Islam bears witness that Muslims’ honor is tied to Jihad and martyrdom”.

Talking about the great resistance of the Palestinians, he added: “Their resistance is so magnificent and illuminating that US’s universities, and European cities have also been engrossed”.

“Today, the geography of Palestine could be found in the hearts of people across the world”, he concluded.
