AQR’s experience vital for managing sacred sites, shrines

The 7th meeting of custodians of sacred shrines, holy sites in Iran, hosted by Imam Reza shrine (northeast Iran), was held under the slogan of ‘Sacred Shrines, Centers of Knowledge, Spirituality’ on Dec. 18.

The event focused on the synergy of activities, transfer of experiences, and paying attention to the current priorities of the society.
Prominent figures such as Ayat. Ahmad Marvi, Custodian of Imam Reza shrine; Ayat. Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi, Custodian of Hazrat Masoumeh shrine; Hoj. Seyyed Ali Qazi Askar, Custodian of Hazrat Abd al-Azim Hassani shrine; Hoj. Ali Akbar Ojaqnejad, Custodian of Jamkaran Mosque; and Hoj. Ebrahim Kalantari, Custodian of Shahcheragh shrine, along with other officials and scholars, attended the event.
Speaking in the event, Hoj. Kalantari emphasized the importance of utilizing the expertise of academic and religious scholars to address contemporary issues.
He highlighted: “Numerous research, promotional, and investigative efforts have been undertaken since the 6th meeting, which will be reviewed for better utilization”.
Hoj. Ojaq Nejad stressed the need for these meetings “to exchange valuable experiences, especially from Imam Reza shrine, which has extensive experience managing sacred sites”.
Also speaking in the congress, Hoj. Qazi Askar highlighted the importance of addressing cultural issues and utilizing sacred sites for spiritual growth.
 “These meetings are crucial for exchanging experiences and enhancing collaboration, particularly in areas such as the use of artificial intelligence to improve pilgrims’ experiences”, he noted.
In conclusion, the 7th meeting of custodians of sacred shrines and holy sites in Iran was successful, fostering collaboration and sharing insights to facilitate spiritual and religious activities at sacred sites.
