According to Hoj. Seyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, “Many Iraqi pilgrims traditionally travel to Mashhad after the Arbaeen rituals and the end of Safar (2nd month on the lunar calendar)”.
“This year, the shrine has repeatedly welcomed various pilgrimage caravans from Iraq, including during the Fatimiyyah period and Hazrat Fatima’s birthday celebrations”, he added.
The deputy for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs noted that the shrine's management provided numerous cultural services to these pilgrimage groups, sometimes exceeding 3,000 participants. “Services included holding traditional ceremonies and distributing cultural packages and blessed items”.
Under the auspices of the Deputy Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs, Imam Reza shrine is set to host Iraqi pilgrims arriving on foot during the Fatimiyyah period and Hazrat Fatima’s birthday anniversary.
