According to Hoj. Seyed Jalal Hosseini, “AQR’s Central Library, which holds valuable manuscript and lithograph collections, has made significant strides to ensure easier access for researchers”.
Enthusiasts can directly access 20,000 manuscripts and 3,000 lithograph books on the digital library website (https://digital.aqr.ir) without any membership.
Researchers can request files for 70,000 manuscripts and over 7,000 lithograph books through the "Document Delivery" service, paying a fee for approved requests.
An instant access system for frequently requested manuscripts allows researchers immediate access to over 3,700 popular manuscripts and lithographs.
For those needing access to multiple manuscripts simultaneously, the digital library offers ‘Manuscript Study Stations’ at various scientific and research centers. So far, 39 stations have been established nationwide, providing free access to the complete collection of AQR’s manuscripts.
The digital library has also introduced the ‘Special Office for Elites’, eliminating administrative processes for top researchers and prominent academics. Selected researchers can request resources directly through a specified social network and receive prompt services.
The public services hall at the Central Library offers consultation for accessing and viewing manuscript images.
A specialized services hall has also been launched for in-depth research by scholars, providing personal computers and access to rare facsimile books and original manuscripts.
Hoj. Hosseini expressed hope that with increased collaboration from researchers, the priceless treasures of the AQR’s collections, especially Islamic heritage, will be more widely introduced to cultural enthusiasts.
The head of Astan Quds Razavi’s Center for Libraries, Museums, and Documents Organization announced steps to enhance researchers’ access to the library's manuscript and lithograph treasures.
