During his visit to the holy shrine of Imams Kadhim and Javad, IRIU’s President, Dr. Morteza Rajai, met with several managers of the Kadhimiya shrines, in Iraq.
The emphasis was on empowering shrine managers and conducting short-term management workshops for holy sites by IRIU, both in-person and virtually.
The two sides also discussed teaching Persian to facilitate some staff’s communication with Iranian pilgrims and granting scholarship to Iraqi students to study in IRIU, especially in the field of managing holy sites.
Also, the President of Imam Reza International University met with Hossein Omran, Deputy of the Shia Endowment Office of Iraq, to review cultural and scientific cooperation between the university and the Shia Endowment Office.
It is noteworthy that the Shia Endowment Office of Iraq specifically oversees the management of Shia holy shrines such as Imam Ali shrine, Kadhimiya shrine, and other sacred places in Iraq. The institution operates under the supervision of the Iraqi government and implements various projects to expand cultural and religious activities.
