Promotion of Quranic sciences, knowledge, AQR’s great vision

The Quranic capacities and achievements of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) in scientific, educational, promotional, and dissemination fields have been presented in a session, with the guests from the 41st International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran in attendance.

At the beginning of the session, held at Holy Quran Museum of Imam Reza shrine (northeast Iran) on January 30, Abdulhamid Talebi, head of AQR’s Scientific and Cultural Organization, welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of Imam Reza’s move from Medina to Merv as a civilization-building and cultural movement.
Talebi emphasized the need to revive Imam Reza’s dialogic tradition, mentioning several historical schools dedicated to Quranic knowledge, prophetic teachings, and Imam Reza’s culture.
 “The oldest institution within Astan Quds Razavi is the Libraries, Museums, and Documents Organization”, he noted.
Highlighting the Quranic activities of the Islamic Research Foundation, Talebi mentioned significant publications and educational capacities from kindergarten to university, including Imam Reza Schools and the Astan Quds Razavi Printing House (Behnashr), which publishes a large volume of Quranic manuscripts.
Elsewhere in the meeting, Hoj. Seyyed Jalal Hosseini, the Head of Libraries, Museums, and Documents Organization, introduced the organization’s Quranic activities.
“Astan Quds Razavi is one of the largest endowment collections in the Islamic world, focusing on the Quran and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt”, he highlighted.
Hosseini went on to say, “The library ranks among the world’s top 7 libraries and the 25,500 Quranic items housed in the museums”.
He concluded by mentioning future projects, including comprehensive museums and scientific meetings around Quranic manuscripts.
