Project to relocate minaret of Islamic Republic Courtyard symbolizes domestic capability and national self-reliance: Custodian

The custodian of Astan Quds Razavi described the relocation of the minaret of the Islamic Republic Courtyard at Imam Reza Shrine as an example of the capability of domestic specialists and national self-reliance.

Speaking during the project, Ayat. Ahmad Marvi emphasized: “The project is a symbol of self-sufficiency and confidence of Iranian specialists in executing complex projects without foreign assistance”.
He stated: “According to engineers' reports, such an operation with these specifics is unprecedented globally and was successfully carried out by Iranian engineers and specialists”.
He also highlighted the impact of the Islamic Revolution in strengthening the spirit of self-reliance and independence among the Iranian people.
“The project demonstrates that with determination and effort, significant achievements can be made in various fields. Such accomplishments not only showcase the capabilities of Iranian specialists but also reinforce the spirit of self-reliance and independence among them”, Ayat. Marvi noted.
AQR’s Custodian added: “It is evidence that Iranian specialists can achieve major and complex goals without reliance on others”.
The top official further thanked the continuous efforts of experts, engineers, and workers involved in the project and stated that the success resulted from the cooperation and unity of all engineers and stakeholders who, with faith and relentless effort, completed the challenging task.
It is worth mentioning that in the project, a minaret, along with ancillary structures weighing 500 tons and measuring 37 meters in height, was relocated 65 meters on a roof with an empty space beneath it. The relocation of the minaret of the Islamic Republic Courtyard was part of the implementation of the Amir al-Momenin Portico construction project.
