AQR expands cultural cooperation with Khuzestan, develops intl. activities

Director of Astan Quds Razavi’s Management for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs, Hoj. Seyyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, has paid an official visit to Khuzestan province in a bid to strengthen cultural cooperation between AQR and Khuzestan province and expanding international activities of the holy complex.

Hoj. Zolfaghari met and discussed with Dr. Hossein Barati, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance Office of Khuzestan, at the beginning of the trip.
In the meeting, Dr. Barati announced province's readiness to cooperate with Astan Quds Razavi in the field of international relations, especially with neighboring countries such as Iraq, emphasizing the role of cultural diplomacy in developing relations.
During this mission, about 100 Arabic-speaking preachers were evaluated by experts of the office based on scientific and planned criteria. Also, more than 40 Arabic-speaking poets and eulogists were identified and assessed.
Another program of this trip was to honor families of two deceased Khuzestani preachers who had previously participated in the publicity programs of the holy shrine. Hoj. Zolfaghari attended homes of these two deceased individuals and appreciated their services.
Finally, the delegation met with Ayatollah Abdolnabi Mousavifard, representative of Wali Faqih in Khuzestan province, and benefited from his guidance in the field of providing services to non-Iranian pilgrims.
Ayatollah Mousavifard appreciated role of Astan Quds Razavi and cultural institutions of Khuzestan and welcomed such programs, while announcing his support for the Assembly of Preachers of Khuzestan.
