Dr. Masoud Taheri, an international human rights lawyer from The Netherlands, spoke on "Contradiction and Conflict of Western Human Rights: From Words to Actions", saying: “I have established a case to defend Palestinian people because I believe we cannot take right to life from humans and if people ask for our help, we should help them as much as we can”.
Referring to the fact that ICC arrest warrant against Netanyahu has seen opposition from the West, Dr. Taheri added: “We intend to help the Palestinian people and defend their rights by establishing a global body and using international laws”.
Pointing to the fact that war in Gaza has had horrific psychological dimensions for women and children, Violette Dagher, a psychologist and human rights activist in France, stated: “Violence against the innocent people of Gaza has reached its peak. This war wants to create a discord between the East and the West so that there is no room for defending human rights”.
Referring to 161 principles of human rights for ending wars between different countries, she continued: “Israel has violated all these 161 principles of human rights in the war with Palestine”.
On hidden aspect of Gaza genocide, Dagher said: “An institution for the defense of human rights has become active in Palestine to be able to defend people of Palestine based on the principles and foundations of human rights”.
Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Sadatinejad, head of the Scientific Cooperation Department of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also stated: "Fight against oppression and other human rights violations has been highlighted in the Holy Quran and words of Ahl al-Bayt (AS)."
He added: “Whenever religion was set aside in European countries, the issue of human rights was placed against the state, giving human rights a modern form lacking any connection with religion."
The official further noted: "Rights of disabled individuals, right to eradicate poverty, right to dignity, right to education, right to work, right to non-discrimination, right to access a healthy environment, are among dimensions of human rights that are focus of many traditions attributed to Imam Reza (AS)”.
As another keynote speaker of the meeting, Dr. Masoud Shadjareh, head of Islamic Human Rights Commission in London said: “There is a hierarchy for human rights and it seems that the closer we get to Islamic countries, their rights from universal human rights decrease or even become close zero level”.
Pointing to the fact human rights organizations have failed to prevent killing of innocent people, Shadjareh reminded: “If we cannot stop this massacre, the issue will become a model for other countries as well, and they will also try to kill innocent people”.
According to Shadjareh, Western system does not defend legal principles of the defenders of Palestinian people; rather the system apprehends them”.

A number of Iranian and foreign intellectuals review Question of Palestine and human dignity from Imam Reza’s point of view in a meeting at 6th International Congress of Imam Reza in Mashhad.
