African students, pilgrims at shrine for Imam Reza birthday celebrations

Astan Quds Razavi’s Management for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs has held celebrations for Imam Reza’s birth anniversary specifically for African students and pilgrims.

The ceremony, titled "Sunrise of Rezvan," was held in the presence of African students and pilgrims in Dar al-Rahmah portico of Imam Reza shrine. The event followed strengthening cultural connection of African nations with Razavi teachings and promoting Islamic unity as its main goal.
The ceremony began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and continued by Ziyarat Aminullah supplication. In a symbolic move, teenagers recited narrations from the life of Imam Reza (AS) in Persian, Arabic, English, and French languages.
Also, a 40-minute specialized panel on the theme of "Pedagogical Model of Imam Reza’s Life and Conduct" was held having African experts and researchers of religious sciences in attendance.
Artistic rituals, honoring activists, performing anthems, reading traditional poetry in praise of Imam Reza (AS), and performing declamation in different languages added a joyful and spiritual atmosphere to the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Hoj. Mousavian also reviewed Imam Reza’s scientific and practical conducts for the participants.
The ceremony came to end by presenting souvenirs and awards to top activists in three fields of publicity, media, and culture. Some blessed cultural packages were also presented to the participants.
