In addition to Ayatollah Marvi, the blessed and magnificent ceremony had Mostafa Feizi, deputy custodian of the AQR, Reza Khorakian, chief director of the shrine, and countless mourning servants, pilgrims, and residents of Mashhad in attendance.
The ceremony began after congregational Maghrib and Isha prayers with chants of "Ya Hossein" from Bab al-Kazem entrance of the shrine while Razavi servants held lit candles in their hands at Holy Prophet Courtyard of the complex heading towards Enghelab Eslami courtyard.
At the same time, mournful melodies and poignant chants of the eulogists and reciters of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), Hossein Ali Madadi, Seyyed Ali Akbar Abdolghaderi, and Ali Mardani, rose from depths of their hearts and echoed through passing courtyards.
Eulogists and reciters of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), Ibrahim Ahmadi and Amir Kermanshahi, recited elegies and took hearts to Karbala in Enghelab courtyard.
Finally, with candles in hand, caravan of servants and mourners moved calmly and lovingly towards the so-called Steel Window to whisper loneliness and oppression of the Prophet's household with their hearts and souls.

Spiritual ceremony of Imam Hossein’s (AS) Shaam-e Ghariban (literally translated as Evening of Strangers) was held in Imam Reza Shrine having Ayatollah Ahmad Marvi, Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), and a number of provincial and national officials in attendance.
