AI-powered illustration exhibit runs at Imam Reza Shrine

Imam Reza Shrine has become the canvas for a groundbreaking international exhibition of AI-generated illustrations, celebrating Imam Reza-related themes in the closing days of Safar.

Under the auspices of the West Asia section of the Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), selected works from the first international event on “AI-powered illustration art” have been displayed at the shrine during the final ten days of Safar, the second month of the lunar Islamic calendar.
The event, held in collaboration with Hodhod Media Agency, focused on promoting Imam Reza’s teachings through emerging technologies.
It welcomed artists from Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, aiming to foster cultural dialogue through innovative visual expression.
Exhibition themes included the character of Hazrat Masoumeh (Imam Raza’s sister), the life and teachings of Imam Reza, concepts of charity, shrine architecture, honoring pilgrims, and Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations.
Out of hundreds of submissions from India, Pakistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Iran, 147 top entries were selected following technical and content evaluation.
The selected artworks were printed and installed at the entrance of Dar al-Rahmah Portico at Imam Reza Shrine, offering visitors a unique blend of tradition and technology during this spiritually significant period.
