Imam Reza shrine in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad is a safe haven for Muslims from across the world, especially Shias. The Deputy Office for International Pilgrims Affairs runs a wide range of programs for the non-Iranian pilgrims visiting the shrine in their millions every year on various occasions.
Some 80 Turkish pilgrims – both Shias and Sunnis – celebrated Imam Ali’s birth anniversary in Imam Reza shrine, in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad.
