The head of the Department, Mr. Khalil Mehdi Hanoun, said that"the staff of the department has started spreading manifestations of joy, decorations, flowers and banners, which bear the titles and words of Imam (peace be upon him) inside the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, to bring pleasure to the hearts of visitors".

He added that"the holy shrine, under the direct guidance of its Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, and its secretary-general; Sayed Mustafa Mortadha Aal Dia-Uddin, is making preparations from the first day to the eleventh of the month of Dhu al-Q'idah, the birth anniversary of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him), and receiving visitors with expressions of congratulations, in addition to holding a central ceremony at the Qibla gate of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)".

According to Hanoun, the staff of the department distributes perfumes, roses and candy pieces to visiting visitors on the auspicious birth anniversary of the eighth infallible imam (peace be upon them).
