Islamic world’s holy shrines ink media accord promoting infallible Imams’ (AS) teachings

Media managers from Islamic world’s holy shrines have signed a multilateral media deal with the aim of promoting teachings and culture of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

Gathering in the holy city of Najaf before signing the deal, each media manager raised his points to expand interactions among world’s holy shrines.

Finishing with the deal’s signature, the group gave jurisdictions to a committee to follow and implement meeting’s decisions.

Addressing his counterparts in this meeting, Mohsen Houshmand, head of Communications and Media Center of Imam Reza holy shrine, thanked custodian and personnel of holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf for hosting the meeting, saying “I hope meetings of this kind could lead to valuable outcomes in holy shrines of the Islamic world in a way as to promote teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in world level”.

He further noted: “Love and affection of Shia Muslims toward Infallible Imams (AS) is a unique historical incident the capacity of which must be used to develop light and truth in the universe”.

Houshmand went on to say: “In a situation where anti-human and anti-moral thoughts in the West use all its tools to insult the holy symbols and to spread evil thoughts, we have a responsibility to avoid considering glory of the holy Islamic symbols exclusively to the Islamic world. Therefore, we have to transmit sounds and images of the Islamic world to the entire globe and the world of humanity”.

Head of media and communication center of Imam Reza shrine stressed: “Holy shrines of the Islamic world can play a significant role in confronting cultural assault of the West by practicing greater convergence and synergy. If they introduce cultures and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in a good way, they can get a greater number of world people familiar with the culture and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) as Imam Reza (AS) says that if people get familiar with benefits of our words, they will obey with no resistance”.

Houshmand further informed that the center has different types of media platforms and it is trying to increase non-Persian language productions through cooperation with other holy shrines. “We are ready to share all these platforms and infrastructures with other holy shrines of the Islamic world in line with realizing our common goal”.

Houshmand brought his comments to end by suggesting formation of a permanent   secretariat and also production of shared media contents.
