Dar al-Rahmah Portico popular with non-Iranian pilgrims

Dar al-Rahmah Portico in Imam Reza shrine is known for gatherings of non-Iranian pilgrims from different countries.

The 400sqm Dar al-Rahmah Portico, built in 1992, is located between Jomhuri Courtyard and Sheikh Bahaie Sanctuary in Imam Reza shrine, northeast of Iran.

One of the main activities underway in this portico is provision of services to pilgrims from different countries.

Some 50,000 foreign pilgrims from Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, etc. visit the shrine in 800 convoys each year, and benefit from special programs such as lectures, sermons, eulogies and so on in this portico.

Some 60 volunteer servants provide various services in foreign languages to pilgrims in this portico.

Dar al-Rahmah Portico is available 24/7 to accommodate foreign pilgrims’ needs both in person and via telephone. To seek advice on religious matters, non-Iranian pilgrims can dial 32002144 and 32003595.

There are programs on special occasions underway in the portico.

Persian language and religious courses are given to foreign pilgrims in the portico.

Razavi Hospital also provides free consultation services to non-Iranian pilgrims who visit Mashhad for healthcare purposes.
