In the event, which was held in the Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza shrine with martyrs’ families from Fatemiyoun Brigade (Afghan Shia guerrilla force) in attendance, Abdulkarim Jasem Karim, head of Iraqi consul in Mashhad (northeastern Iran) said: “The martyrdom story of Haj Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is a revolution in itself, which can be awakening”. The life of these two martyrs has great lessons for the youth. They were role models for ethics, and their friendship teaches a lesson to the future generations”.
He talked of Haj Qassem as a courageous figure whose resistance and bravery embodied divine victory.
Hoj Gonabadi Nejad, Culture and Media Deputy of Fatemiyoun Brigade also talked in the gathering.
“As asserted by the Leader of the Revolution, Haj Qassem wasn’t merely an ordinary individual. Rather, he was a school of thought for the public”, said he.
He pointed to Haj Qassem’s profound belief in Islam, adding: “He was a Twelver Shia and firmly believed in the Prophet’s Infallible Household”.
“Haj Qassem’s sacrifices made it possible for the Islamic countries to believe that they can, and gave efficiency to the Resistance Front to fight the arrogance”, continued Hoj Gonabadi Nejad.
Elsewhere in the event, head of International Pilgrims Affairs, Hoj Zolfaghari, said: “Martyrs have prominent characteristics that put them on the pedestal. The martyrs from Fatemiyoun, Zainebiyoun, Gaza and Hamas are not merely limited to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine and Lebanon; rather, they belong to all humanity”.
