The secretary of ‘Imam Reza International Congress’ has announced that the 13th preliminary session of the event is scheduled to be held in Iraq.

According to Dr Zohreh Kharazmi, the upcoming round of the congress is aimed at connecting Imam Reza’s teachings with daily and pressing issues for the world such as human rights, family, identity, politics and society.

“The most important mission of the congress is the promotion of Imam Reza’s culture and teachings across the globe so that it can solve the daily issues”, said she.

She added, “Therefore, the fifth round of the congress is scheduled for May 2024 to focus on ‘justice for all and oppression for none’. In fact, we strive to look at this slogan from Imam Reza’s civilizing perspective. So far, some articles have also been submitted to the congress”.

She continued that the path to globalize Imam Reza’s discourse passes through dialogue, “that is, we need to pave the way for dialogue with academic and civil institutes across the world”.
