The meeting, which focused on pilgrimage diplomacy, was hosted by Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and the working group’s secretary on June 13.
A wide range of issues such as quantitative and qualitative expansion of pilgrimage, international pilgrims’ affairs, and mass pilgrimage of Afghan and Pakistani pilgrims, especially during Arbaeen, have been discussed in the meeting.
Health insurance for pilgrims has been approved under the auspices of Iran’s Foreign Ministry.
In addition, it has been agreed that all foreign pilgrims, who visit Iran using a pilgrimage visa, can use healthcare services in the country via a special code on their passports.
The third Imam Reza National Working Group got underway in Iran’s Foreign Ministry with Deputy for International Pilgrims Affairs of Imam Reza shrine in attendance.
