Deputy minister of economy visits Sarakhs Economic Zone

Iran’s deputy minister of economy, Mohammad Reza Rezwani, has paid a visit to the Sarakhs Special Economic Zone getting familiar with capacities of the place and its infrastructure.

Referring to the biggest rail border of the country in Sarakhs Economic Zone, Rezwani said: “Connectivity of this zone with the wide rail network of CIS countries is a very great advantage”.

He went on to say: “Management and supervision of organization of Imam Reza shrine, existence of three customs, and great logistic facilities are three important feature of Sarakhs Special Economic Zone”.

Iran’s chief of customs pointed to the very good transit capacity of zone and stated: “This place has got a yearly capacity of seven million tons which is almost 50 percent of country’s whole transit capacity”.

Integration of all customs in Sarakhs Economic Zone was considered by Rezwani as a very good achievement of the Persian year.

He also stressed: “Services of this border zone must become 24/7 in near future”.

Concluding his remarks, Iran’s deputy minister of economy mentioned: “With regard to the investments made by Sarakhs Special Economic Zone , we hope to create more motivation for economic activists of the country in the new Persian year”.
