Commemorative events at Imam Reza shrine honor martyr Nasrallah

In a series of ceremonies, which were held at Imam Reza shrine (northeast Iran) under the aegis of the Deputy Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs, thousands of pilgrims and local residents gathered to honor the memory of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the late Secy. Gen. of the Lebanese resistance movement of Hezbollah, and other martyrs of the Resistance Front.

The first event, titled ‘The Path of Nasrallah’, got underway in the Dar al-Rahmah Portico, and saw attendees from Lebanon, Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, India, and Pakistan.
Speaking in the event, Hoj. Alireza Imani Moqaddam, a representative of the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly in Mashhad, pointed to Nasrallah's bravery and dedication, emphasizing that “He was brought up in the school of Imam Hussein and fought tirelessly against the enemies of God”.
The ceremony concluded with a statement from the Deputy Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims of the shrine, reaffirming the commitment to the ideals of the Resistance Front.
In another event, the Dar al-Quran Office of the shrine hosted a Quranic meeting in memory of the martyred head of Hezbollah.
Held in Imam Khomeini Portico, the meeting featured recitations by renowned Quranic reciters. The event was also broadcast live on Quran TV Channel of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, allowing thousands to remotely participate in it.
Additionally, over 9,000 pilgrims participated in the collective recitation of Surah Al-Hashr (the 59th verse of Quran), organized by the Dar al-Quran Office.
This initiative, part of the campaign titled "Lebanon under the Protection of the Gracious Imam", aimed to support the Resistance Front and the oppressed people of Lebanon.
Speaking in the event, Mohammad Maqoumi, head of the office, highlighted the significance of this collective recitation, drawing parallels to the Quranic verse about the defeat of the Jews by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Muslim community.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his companions were martyred on September 27 in an Israeli airstrike on southern Beirut, as the regime launched a genocidal war on Gaza and Lebanon since October 2023.
