Abdulhamid Talebi, the Head of AQR’s Scientific and Cultural Organization, along with a number of managers and experts in publishing sector attended the event, which took place on Sunday, November 17 at Sheikh Tabarsi Hall in Mashhad (northeast Iran).
The program aimed to honor the week's significance and recognize the contributions of those involved in the country’s publishing and book industry.
Speaking in the event, Hoj. Seyed Jalal Hosseini, the Director of AQR’s Center for Libraries, Museums, and Documents, asserted: “The Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi is one of the most prestigious libraries in the world, housing over 150 million information sources across various fields”.
He highlighted the library's significant capacity for research purposes, stating that the schools of thought originating from martyrs Qassem Soleimani, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi are strategic streams that can deeply impact cultural, political, and social domains.
“The establishment of the Resistance database in the digital library serves as a strong link, enabling the transfer of valuable resistance culture resources to future generations, thereby fostering a better understanding and promotion of this culture”, Hoj. Hosseini continued.
He added that the Resistance database at the AQR’s Digital Library is an excellent research and educational tool for researchers, writers, filmmakers, and documentary producers.
Hosseini noted that easy access to the Resistance database through the digital library, variety of information sources including books, photographs, press clippings, and continuous updates with new information resources are among the notable features of this database.
A specialized ‘Resistance’ database at Astan Quds Razavi’s (AQR) Digital Library was launched during the ‘Astan Book’ special event, coinciding with Book and Book-Reading Week in Iran.
