Deputy for Intl. Affairs attends Jafari Endowment conference in Kuwait, discusses pilgrimage diplomacy

The Deputy for International Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi attended the 10th Jafari Endowment conference, delivering a speech and negotiating with the Iranian ambassador in Kuwait regarding pilgrimage diplomacy.

The 10th International “Jafari Endowment” conference was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kuwait with scholars from Islamic countries, including a special representative from Astan Quds Razavi in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Hoj. Faqih Esfandiari, AQR’s Deputy for International Affairs, explained: “About 20 years ago, the Kuwaiti Endowments Secretariat formed an organization to discuss various Jafari Endowment topics. Over the past 20 years, they have held 10 specialized conferences successfully”.
The 10th round of the event, held on February 10, was titled ‘Development of Jafari Endowment in the Last Twenty Years’.
Representatives from various Islamic countries, including Iran, Bahrain, the UAE, and Oman, attended the conference, hosted by the Kuwaiti Jafari Endowment Secretariat.
During the opening ceremony, overseen by the Emir of Kuwait, Dr. Mohammad Al-Osaimi, the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and Tareq Abdullah Abi Habib, the director of the Jafari Endowment Secretariat, delivered speeches.
In the second part of the conference, dedicated to specialized sessions, Hoj. Faqih Esfandiari presented a paper titled ‘Introducing the Endowment Governance System at Astan Quds Razavi’, which was well-received.
An exhibition related to the Jafari Endowment was also held.
Additionally, AQR’s Deputy for International Affairs attended the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory at the Iranian Embassy and discussed topics such as facilitating pilgrimage and pilgrimage diplomacy with Mohammad Toutounchi, the Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait.
