Hadi Gholami, manager of Neighbors Affairs at Karamat Razavi Foundation, stated: “These Iftar tables are formed according to directions given by custodian of the holy shrine and based on the donations made by the public; ten thousand warm Iftar meals including soup and rice are cooked and distributed every day in Mashhad, especially in its environs”.
He added: “Five thousand loaves of bread are cooked every day for Iftar tables, although the baking capacity is much greater. If sufficient flour is supplied, the capacity may touch 50 thousand loaves of bread daily”.
Referring to other activities of the management office at KRF, Gholami said: “Simultaneously with running Iftar tables, over one thousand packs containing dry food items are also prepared for Iftar tables at mosques and cultural centers in Mashhad”.
Manager of Neighbors Affairs at Karamat Razavi Foundation went on to say: “The services are offered in three groups and shifts by over 350 people from grassroots and jihadi forces in the kitchen, bakery, and packaging as well as serving of the Iftar tables”.
Pointing to sources of funding KRF activities, Gholami stated: “These activities are carried out based on the direction of and emphasis of the custodian of Imam Reza shrine, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, and from public donations, as carried out by popular groups, organizations, and Jihadi groups”.
