The first session of the international scientific-research group of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR) was held under the auspices of the International Affairs Department, with a focus on identifying international research priorities and ensuring their practical implementation.
The meeting took place on June 20, in Shahid Fakhrizadeh Hall of Samen Building, with research directors and deputies from Astan Quds Razavi’s academic and cultural institutions in attendance.
In the event, participants reviewed a set of research topics previously gathered through a nationwide call and introduced new proposals for consideration.
The group emphasized the importance of applied research with direct operational relevance to AQR’s international activities.
The goal has been to integrate research outcomes into executive processes and enhance service quality for international pilgrims—particularly those from Iraq and Afghanistan.
During the discussions, it was agreed that, following a final assessment of research needs submitted by affiliated institutions, a new call for proposals would be issued to academic centers across the country.
Subsequently, selected proposals will proceed to the implementation phase after evaluation.
Attendees stressed the need to prioritize projects with tangible outcomes that can contribute meaningfully to the expansion of AQR’s international engagement.
They also noted that previous studies could serve as a foundation for more effective and in-depth initiatives in the global arena.
