The event, held on March 27, brought together around 40 Urdu-speaking scholars alongside participants from Asian, African, and European nations.
The conference focused on the significance of Quds Day, supporting the Palestinian people, advocating the liberation of Al-Quds, and strengthening the resistance front.
Speaking in the event, Hoj. Seyed Abolfazl Tabatabaei Ashkezari, former representative of the Leader in Syria and director of Jabal al-Sabr Institute, emphasized the necessity of global Muslim solidarity in defense of Palestine.
“Imam Khomeini's designation of Quds Day is a strategic, long-term initiative aligned with the objectives of the Islamic Revolution. This is not merely a temporary tactic but a goal that requires reliance on God and inspiration from historical events such as the battles of Badr and Uhud”, he noted.
Hoj. Seyed Mohammad Zolfaghari, Deputy for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs at Astan Quds Razavi, praised Imam Khomeini's initiative in naming Quds Day, stating: “Events like this symbolize the unity of the Islamic community with the oppressed people of Palestine”.
He reiterated the need for a strong and vocal stance against Zionist occupation and advocacy for Palestinian rights.
The conference concluded with participants signing a petition affirming their commitment to the path of resistance martyrs, including Martyr Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in defending Jerusalem and opposing the occupying Zionist regime.
The petition drew upon Imam Ali’s will: “Be an enemy to the oppressor and a helper to the oppressed.”
The event served as part of the preparations for International Quds Day, aimed at keeping the Palestinian cause alive and bringing global attention to the ongoing injustices in the occupied territories.
