1st intl. event on AI-driven illustration art held in Imam Reza shrine

Under the auspices of the Deputy Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs and in collaboration with Hudhud Media Agency, the first international event on AI-driven illustration art was organized, focusing on Imam Reza’s teachings and Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations.

This festival aimed to harness modern technology for cultural discourse, featuring six thematic categories: Hazrat Masoumeh’s character, Imam Reza’s teachings, the concept of charity, Imam Reza shrine’s architecture, honoring pilgrims, and Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations.
Artists from Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon participated, submitting hundreds of works, from which 147 outstanding pieces were selected.
The entries were evaluated based on technical and conceptual criteria, with 20 artworks chosen for the upcoming Wilayat Ten-Day Exhibition.
A distinctive feature of this international festival was its open approach to artistic styles, including painting, photography, and digital design, alongside the strong presence of artists from Islamic countries.
The winners were announced on Imam Reza’s birth anniversary (May 9), with the closing ceremony and official award distribution scheduled for Wilayat Ten-Day Celebrations.
This initiative marks a new step in integrating Artificial Intelligence with art to enhance spiritual expression, and Astan Quds Razavi plans to continue such events in the coming years.
Wilayat Ten-Day Celebrations refer to the period between Eid al-Adha (June 6) and Eid al-Ghadir (June 14), both ssignificant occasions in Islamic tradition.
